INFORMATION
Concept
Maker Movement: The exhibition celebrates local and international makers. We showcase the talents of professional artists and designers from a variety of fields. We acknowledge the professional output of conceptual designs, as well as the curious processes that lead to it. The exhibition serves as a preview fro the annual Eindhoven Maker Faire.
“The Eindhoven Maker Faire is a hands-on visual feast of invention and creativity and a celebration of technology, arts, craftsmanship, science, and the Do-It-Yourself culture. It’s organized for innovative, creative people who like to tinker and love to create, and also for those curious minds who want to see what new and innovative things are just around the corner” (eindhoven.makerfaire.com). The Maker Faire hosts over 250 makers, with over ten thousand visitors over the few days.
The Maker Movement exhibition taking place in Abbehuis aims to show the essence of creativity in a more intimate setting. Workshops, fashion shows and meet ups are part of the exciting programme.
